European protected area conference EUROPARC 2011

The 2011 conference in Bad Urach was no different with inspiring words from our key note speakers opening the proceedings, called us to consider how protected areas can deliver benefits for Nature and People. Learning from this we now look forward to see how all members and their teams create and participate in new projects and a daily work that leads to a greener society, conservation of Biodiversity and communicating the spirit of Nature. Their words and call to action with the deliberations of the workshops and are represented in this conference report.

Jahresbericht 2011

Seit 2009 arbeitet EUROPARC Deutschland e.V. neben der notwendigen organisatorischen und haushaltsbezogenen Konsolidierung an weiterer inhaltlicher Profilierung. Mit Unterstützung unserer Mitglieder und Partner konnten 2011 viele positive Entwicklungen angestoßen und fortgesetzt werden. Diese betreffen sowohl einzelne Projekte als auch die Geschäftsstelle insgesamt.

Basiskurs Natur- und Kulturinterpretation

Mit der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Natur- und Umweltbildung (ANU), dem Bundesverband Naturwacht und EUROPARC Deutschland haben sich im Zeichen von ParcInterp drei Partnerverbände zusammengetan, um die Bildungsarbeit in unseren Nationalparken, Biosphärenreservaten und Naturparken zu befördern.

Evaluation of German National Parks

In response to the alarming worldwide decline of biodiversity, in 1992 the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) was adopted at the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro. Germany ratified the Convention in 1993.
